“You can feel it in the air.” my co-worker said as we left the building.
it was the first really hot day of 2018. There was a slight humidity and you could smell the electricity. For Alabama in the spring, the weather was ripe for tornado activity. The news blasted updates all date. The time kept getting pushed back. At first it was 2-6pm, then 4-8, now 8-12pm. People were gathering supplies at Target in order to prepare for a power outage. You could see simple meals like frozen pizza in most of the red store carts. People anticipated that something was going to happen. You can feel it by the way people carried themselves.
I took this picture around 6pm. The orange sky reminded me that something is on the horizon. It was more than the tornadic activity, and it will be life changing. The signs are all around me. However, I need too prepare for it. I need to be more assertive and live my life. When I prepare and live in expectation. Change is coming. I can feel it in the air. I will be prepared.
